It Would Be A Lot Shorter To Tell You Who We Aren't
An Anti About Us Page
We do NOT: “Appropriately produce quality collaboration and idea-sharing as catalysts for change.”
We Are Not Vendors:
We are The Project Fox
We are a group of people with a wide variety of business ownership, educational and technical experience who have come together because we know that owner operated small businesses need people who are actually on their side. We came to this conclusion, sometimes painfully, as small business owners ourselves. Between us more than 80 years in the small business world.
We were you. People who had 12 fires to put out and only 4 fire extinguishers. Separately we have each experienced reaching out for help only to find ineffective sales groups that waste our time (charging us for the privilege) and high priced “consultants” who tell us what we already know and give us beautifully bound binder’s full of lofty goals with no actual plan on how achieve to said goals…and they certainly weren’t going to do the work themselves (or at least at not at a price a normal business owner could afford).
The Argument For Cloning:
You Need Another You
We realized that what we really needed was copies of ourselves. Someone who was willing to work just as hard as we did. Someone just as invested in our success as we were. Someone who was willing to get their hands dirty…and someone that had the skill that we were missing. You might be a great salesperson but if you can’t handle marketing to save your life then you need a you with marketing skills. You might be an amazing employer but if you don’t understand what your SPE or ratios are then you might have sales of 3 million a year and are losing by the bucketful.
Hence The Project Fox was born. A group of people with different strengths who complement each other, are willing to go to the wall for the small business owner because we know just how hard it is, love puzzles and problem solving and saving money, are willing to get our hands dirty, think like bosses and most of all really give a darn about what you need because we have stood exactly where you are.
Mission Statements Aren't Always Useless
Dan (see below) asked me to write a mission statement (which I generally hate) but it turned out that it was an incredibly useful thing to do. You see, I couldn't explain to anyone what we did in the required 10 second elevator speech I ended up sounding like a cross between a brain surgeon and a dog groomer. So against my will I listened to the people I work with and actually wrote a mission statement. I still can't explain to you what we do in 10 seconds on an elevator but I can absolutely tell you WHY we do it.
So here it is:
Our mission is to help every small business owner we can, as fairly and honestly as we can, because it sucks when you need immediate, honest, affordable help and you can’t get it...and we know it because we've been there.
And that’s who The Project Fox is.
We are a group of people, working together, fighting for you. So yeah – we do SEO and build websites, and solve just in time delivery issues, build marketing strategies, design logos, create marketing plans, organize employees, motivate teams, run your numbers, help you make and implement hard decisions and 100 other things…which makes it a lot easier to tell you what we are not.
